I am fascinated by the fact that AI can make a complex decision for less than half a South African cent. Which means that it can make 10,000 such decisions for under R50. This opens up many opportunities. My software development experience has taught me to be paranoid about system security and I am alarmed by how some companies are throwing caution to the wind to chase the AI promise. There are many real benefits that AI can deliver, but we don't have to throw away everything we learned about responsible system design through decades of trial and error to get those benefits. I know how to safely get those benefits and can help you feel comfortable that your systems won't turn into Skynet.
